As youngsters, we’re all told the infamous story of the Titanic, the supposedly indestructible ship that sunk on its maiden voyage. We’re all familiar with the story: the ship left Southampton, England, headed for New York City on April 10, 1912. Four days into the voyage, at 11:40pm on April 14, 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank at 2:20am, “resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history [12].”

Bad luck, we’re all led to believe. No one saw the iceberg and so the infallible ship sank. Bummer…

[D-CT] Senate Primary debate: Lee Whitnum calls opponent Chris Murphy “whore” for AIPAC, Israel lobby.

She’s got my vote!

Lee Whitnum accused Incumbent Chris Murphy and other senate candidates of being deeply entrenched with the influential and powerful Israel lobby. More over Whitnum addressed Murphy as “whore, here…” and said that he had sold his soul to AIPAC; the heart of the Israeli lobby. ***standing ovation***

Many media outlets ran to the defense of Murphy and crucified Lee Whitnum over the comments. This is standard treatment for anyone who dares question the extraordinary influence that the Israeli government holds over the Congress and President. The reality is that the American foreign policy,  the 5 major news networks, and American foreign aid levels must keep kosher by whatever standards The current Israeli leadership determines.

Quite frankly, Israel has a questionable history of loyalty to The United States. I don’t believe the Israeli government has in fact ever been an ally of the U.S. I speculate that Israel has been involved, not only, in the bombing of the U.S.S Liberty, but also, the assassination of John Kennedy and the world trade center bombings in both 1993 and 2001. My SHOCKING opinion aside, every American should be critical of any foreign nation with which so many members of congress and presidents are joined at the hip. Considering the trillions of tax dollars and millions of innocent civilians the USA and Israel have thrown by the wayside, we ought to act and view the relationship objectively.
